After (cringe) 8 months… I am finally getting around to sharing the last bits of our trip to southern California. Our first stop was Palm Springs, and we had booked a room at ARRIVE, which seemed to be a neat boutique hotel I found on booking.com. Being 3+ months pregnant I was looking for somewhere comfortable and fun, but not a part of the party scene, as that wasn’t in the cards for me. ARRIVE fit the bill for us perfectly; I loved the huge California King beds, modern design and the amenities, with a on-site bar and dining.
When we checked in, we were greeted with a complimentary cocktail which is always a nice touch, even if it’s virgin. Before heading out to dinner we checked out the digs and supplied information on the hotel and Palm Springs.
I loved the attention to detail in the design, from the herringbone tile on the floor, to the leather chair and industrial style clothing rack. You can tell that careful thought went into the styling of the rooms.
The bathroom was open to the rest of the room, with the shower flanking one side, and the toilet on the other of the sink. I especially liked the small window in the shower, letting in the sunshine we had been missing in Alaska all winter.
Our room overlooked the pool from the second story; which might’ve been a bit too chilly for us in the middle of winter- but there were yard games and bikes available, which were the perfect option for some recreation. I took one out for a spin around time while Nav spent the morning golfing.
After my ride, I took a long hot shower enjoying the fluffy robe and products supplied in the shower; I loved that they were full sized!
My shower was followed by a cozy nap and a viewing of Bridget Jones on the apple TV which concluded a perfect relaxing stay at ARRIVE.
